He was a big baby for being 7 weeks early. He would have been a huge baby if went to term.

I'm sorry to hear that... it's pretty draining and an emotional experience... Anyway my daughter was born at 32 weeks, weighing 5lbs 8oz and 18 1/2in, she stayed in the NICU for 3 weeks, and came home 6lbs. She is now exactly 3 months old and is 11 and half pounds and 24 1/2in long (dad is 6'5 lol)...

Hope all is well

Oh yea, I was wondering....when your baby is getting close to coming home do they start telling you, or do they just pop up and call you, or tell you one day when you walk in to the NICU?? I have been wondering about that

Well with me, they talk about it, but I never got a definite day... does your NICU do the carseat test? when they asked to do that test, I knew she was comin home in a few days. But if it wasn't for that, I would have had no idea... talk about a huge shock... I was so nervous the day she was gonna come home, I couldn't stop shaking! lol How is your lil one doing?

They told us. That he was having a sleep study and had to pass it and if he pass he would get to come home. Then we had an appointment with the physical therapist and was told to been receiving blankets for the carseat.

Awww he really is cute! Amazing how small they start off but soon enough he'll be keeping you up all night  . I read your other post about the Brady, Chloe had one the day after she was born and that was it. But all the other babies in the NICU had one or two, I guess it's common. Try your best not to worry too much (yeah right! I know  ) I completely understand though, hearing that something went wrong with your baby, it hurts!. They had to move Chloe's IV to her scalp, I tore out of the room in tears... but now, you see her and you never would have guessed she was that little squirt. The poor NICU nurses had to put up with me... I was there for 24 days straight, 7hrs a day by her side, I'm sure they got sick of my face!
Anyway that's great that he's doing good with his feedings though! Chloe also had a bit of residuals for a while, their poor little tummies. Anyway I'm here if you need to talk, I know it's hard! Your lil' guy is in my prayers

One day Ryan was in an incubator, still on all IVs and then thenext day(Thursday)he was in an open bed and they scheduled a room-in for us on Saturday, he went home Sunday. So itwas a pretty overnight thing, SUCH a big surprise!! We took the carseat with us when we roomed in and thats when they did the test.

With my daughter it happened pretty fast, they just said, hey bring in the car seat, she's ready to go home! With my son I kept asking about and anticipating it, so it wasn't as much of a surprise. But they still just called one day and said, ok we'll cicumcise him today and he should go home on Saturday!
