That was awesome. I was completely engrossed. Mara, you really should wirte professionally, if you don't already. Thanks for your truly inspiring labor story. I hope I can go naturally as I have planned, but I am too scared to have a home birth. Your story gave me even more courage to go ahead & try to do it unmedicated!!!!

THANKS!

your awsome lady.congrats on the baby boy.your story made me like the fact that im going to have a water birth.it seemed to me that the showers you took during your labor helped somewhat.i know its gonna hurt but i also know that it will be the best experance of my life so far.i want it to be calm and relaxing and i wont get that from a hospital.i really like that part in your story where you said if you were at a hospital and were offered drugs for the pain you wouldnt be able to say no...lol i dont want drugs and i know the docs at a hospital would talk me into it.congrats again mama and thanks for the insperation.so far all i have red on here of labor stories has been the births take place at a hospital and they get a epidural or some other drugs and everything is just so intence.so tanks again.

heheh... yeah. i wrapped a sarong around my lower half though. i'm semi-modest for strangers... even in the throes of labor.

Wow.

I cannot...CANNOT...imagine...

The immeasurably, indefatiguably, indestructable Mara......whining?

Wow.

I love this labour story....it made me appreciate how easy i had it,
While at the same time almost...almost wishing i had done it the same way.

Thank you.

there is a sense of "nothing can eff w/ me now" that i've gained from this experience.

no matter how dead tired i am breastfeeding max at four in the morning or how my muscles feel weak and/or ache on a long run, all i have to do is remember labor, and suddenly it all seems petty in comparison...

i guess that's the reward long-term of having gone the hard way.

it's also made me a bit more "fearless" ... i mean, i did labor so what's the world possibly got that can compare to that pain?
