breast milk donors

Does anyone know where I can go to find a breast milk donor? I am not sure how to go about this I am asking for my sister. Her baby cannot digest formula (she has gastroschisis). They have tried formula multiple times and she keeps getting infections (which is linked to not being able to take the formula) the hospital only approved Brylee 3 weeks of breastmilk. She is 3 months old and back at square 1 because they said they can't give her anymore because the program only allows for 3 weeks then they have to give formula if the mother is unable to produce. They told my sister if she could find her own donor then they would test the milk and give it to her and it would help. They live in Hamilton, Oh if that helps.

Have they tried Elecare?? That is an extremely easy formula to digest and is used for babies with problems like that. My daughter was on it after we stopped breastfeeding at 13 months (they make some for infants and some for toddlers) because shes allergic to dairy, eggs, and soy. Anyway, its amino-acid based so it doesnt have the proteins, etc that formula does. it is EXTREMELY expensive (like, $60 a can) but our insurance covered it because it was for a medical reason, i am sure her insurance would cover it as well. I dont know anything about breastmilk donors, but just thought I would suggest Elecare.

Yea she has had Necrotizing Enterocolitis 2 times already and has almost died from it. They refuse to let my sister transfer bry to a different childrens. They said if we don't get breast milk she will probably pass away on us.

Yes thats fine. We are all so scared for her. They have had to start over 5 times now because her body can't handle the formula.

I live in Columbus Ohio & I breastfeed my 4 month old son. I'm a stay at home mom & I have a dual pump & have no need for the milk I have in my deep freezer bc he won't take a bottle.
