Is abortion painful?

im not against abortion and im not for abortion im mutual, I'm just curious to the answer of this question, if someone doesnt mind answering.

No, you don't feel anything as you are either sedated or put to sleep.

I had the pill.. so it was like a miscarriage.. so yeah. it was very painful and had contractions.

everyone that i know that has had one says yes its like a weird cramping etc... but think everyone is different so you will be different too.. i think of it like this .. they are removing something surgically .. yeah its gonna hurt good luck

Physically or mentally painful? It probably depends on the person and their pain tolerance, situation, and coping mechanisms.

oh ok, i did not know you were sedated. my aunt had an abortion but it was a LONG time ago when she was 16.. i didnt want to ask her because i think she is sensitive towards the subject

My step sister had one a few years ago, I brought her. She was sedated and didn't really mention any pain or being uncomfortable.

All the people I know who were awake for the procedure said it did. I had a D&C (basically the same procedure) but I was asleep for the procedure and had no physical pain afterwards.

For the surgery you are sedated but if you get the pill it's basically a miscarriage at home so I believe that will hurt some.
