i think i'll PM you...don't really want my business all over.

I hate that my SO doesn't think he has controlling behavior. I really want us to work out because we do love each other even when smurf gets bad. I think we need to get into therapy.

Yeah I have and he thinks therapy isn't worth his time because he feels uncomfortable telling a shrink our problems. ( I do too).

That's understandable. I think especially for men that another problem is that they are afraid that a therapist is going to tell them how horrible they are and make them look bad which isn't the case. I hope he agrees to go. DH and I have been to one. It's not that bad.

I have been to a therapist as a teenager so I know what it's like. It's hard to find one that's good.

I have only ever been to one literally one time and hated it. I ended up just going to the doctor and getting medicated for my anxiety issues. DH and I went to the same couple who conducted our premarital counseling.

I don't like counseling much because it's the same smurf different day.

I guess it depends on your counselor and the reason you are going. I truly hope that something works out for you and your SO. Maybe just take some time with just each other to talk and work out your feelings?

I wish this thread wasn't so dead cause I could use somewhere to turn...... I don't know what to do anymore. My life has gone extremely downhill in the last 3 years. Every time I believe I couldn't slip any lower and I've hit rock bottom it finds every way it can to get worse...
