I've been taking insulin injections twice a day for the past 2ish weeks now. Just a bit ago I noticed dark purplish bruising on my belly. I'm not sure what its from but can it be from the insulin? Anyone else have this happen when taking insulin injections? I use those flexpens for the injections, so the needle doesn't hurt or anything.

Yeah, Insulin can cause bruising but so can the injection, Ive taken injections 3x a day of blood thinners and the blood thinner makes me bruise but I use insulin needles cause they are smaller and they also cause bad bruising.

Oh okay, whew! Thanks. I think I'm at the point where I worry about every little thing now. And I hadnt noticed any bruising until tonight, so thats why it worried me.

Yeah thats normal as well, It look a week or so to start bruising. Where are you doing the shots at?

Heres how bad mine would get.. this was when I had to do them in my belly.

now I do them in my thigh and I hardly bruise at all, but it does make me swollen. but dont be shocked if they do get kinda bad, although mine may have only because its a blood thinner.

You didn't list a stroller or carseat... do you have those? Maybe even carseat/stroller toys too. What about a highchair or a walker... you wont need either of those right away but still something to keep in mind. Are you planning on getting a sling or carrier? what about an exersaucer or a jumperoo?

Yeah I got a carseat and double stroller for the kids..

but im talking about things we will just need when we get home so she wont even use a high chair or anything like that for a while. we wont get that stuff until we move. and Im not a fan or slings at all. I just need the item's that you really need.. not the extra's

Yeah looser stools the closer you get to delivery are a common thing in pregnancy. I'm not sure why, I can't remember. Just remember that much. lol. I am due the same day as you! 34.5 weeks as well for me.   Definitely been going more frequently than i was in the beginning of my pregnancy. I've not been able to sleep too much at once either. I keep waking up starving but I always feel full after I only eat a few bites of something. Must not be much room left in there for food. lol.

As far as packing for the hospital - you may want to call and ask your hospital to be sure but most that I know of will provide you with everything you need while there. The things you pack are just extra ya know. They will have hospital gowns for you and mesh underwear and giant pads, soap, shampoo, etc. For the baby they will have tons of diapers, wipes, and onesies and formula if you are wanting that. also they usually have paci's if you allow your baby to have them. Any of the diapers and wipes that are left over when you are done get to all be sent home with you too. I was also sent home with my sons' first bathtub and bath sponge as a bunch of other random things. I definitely overpacked the first time I went! This time I'm gonna try to pack just some things for us both to wear home from the hospital and then maybe some stuff to keep my comfy while im there. I think I wanna bring my own panties since i dont care for the mesh, just get some in a larger size for cheap that i can throw away later. make sure whatever you pack you don't mind getting blood on it because that's a likely scenario. i may bring m mp3 player and some hard candies to suck on during labor since they wont allow you to eat anything.

I can relate! I locked my keys in the car last night... Didn't figure it out until this morning after I had turned the house upside down looking for them... Had to call my brother-in-law's tow company to get me in, since the spare is with SO's mom... LOL I was 30 minutes late to work... Thank goodness my bosses are awesome.

My hubby is type 1 diabetic and does his shots in his tummy or thigh, he bruises sometimes but that's only when he has hit a hair follicle it will also hurt a little bit when he does that. Sometimes he gets some wicked huge bruises from them. No need to worry Mama, you've just hit a hair follicle.
