His frequent nursing is his way of making your body keep up with him. The more he nurses, the more milk is produced (even if he isn't getting much out). It can take up to three days of him nursing this way for your body to start producing enough to keep up with his demands. Pumping after feeding will increase supply as well (pump even after milk flow stops for about 3-5 minutes). If you still aren't making enough after that, try oatmeal, mother milk tea, or fenugreek.

A month ago I couldn't even begin to imagine what life would be like once he was here and how I would function with two kids lol

Well Mamas,
It is October so I am going to change up the OP a bit. I figure it is probably better to ride the thread out and then once it has been locked, we can make a new one for September 2012 Mamas.


I'm thinking putting up all the birthdays in place of the Due dates. I know a lot of the mamas on the OP are not active in here anymore so if they do decide to come back in, I can add them in.

This past few weeks have been so amazing but very tiring. Breastfeeding has not gone well for us. My OB and the lactation consultant though I had a yeast infection in both breasts but I still have a TON of pain each time I nurse even though I've already taken the complete cycle of Diflucan. I'm convinced its the nipple shield and the fact that LO has a unusually strong suck. lol. Even his pediatrician said not to nurse more than 10 minutes on each breast because of how strong it is. I nursed once after a few days rest and my nips were back to being very sore and burning. Its terrible   Other than that, we are doing fantastic. LO is growing really well and our pediatrician was really impressed with how he is developing. Already holding his head up for a few moments and turning it from side to side. He even was moving his legs and inching forward as if to attempt crawling. Its so neat watching them do new things! How are you ladies and your babies doing? Its been so crazy at our house that I havent gotten on in a bit.

My little guy Daniel Thor's birthday is August 29

Isaac John. Born Sept 7th.

I love my little man to bits but i sure wish he'd go down in his basket. He hardly sleeps long flat and mostly will only settle when held to my chest or in his bouncer. Hes very strong willed already

Your step mum may have her privacy set so that friends of friends can see photos she is tagged in. That only thing I can think of
