Question for nursing mums ....

I have been nursing Nathan since he was born on Jan. the 3rd, and I had my first period on March the 3rd. My question is when you nurse, does it make your cycle more off than normal? Before I got pregnant, I had a 28 day cycle every month, without fail. Im usually able to tell before I start and I havent had anything yet. Please tell me that this is normal. I dont think that I could even fathom being pregnant again right now. We've been using protection and everything but I cant help but to wonder. Thank you so much for your input on my situation.

I have been nursing my son for more then 5 months now....and I haven't had a period at all. It's different for everyone though, so if you're concerned about anything I would maybe call your doc?   Good luck! And congrats!!

It may I didnt get a period while breastfeeding. Sorry

I had my first pp period in Jan (had baby in Dec) and mine are kinda regular,I was hoping mine wouldn't come back until he was older.

I didn't get my period until my daughter was 3 months old. I'm still nursing her and haven't gotten another one yet, but it should be coming any day now. I'm not sure if it normally would make your cycle irregular or not. I do know though that your hormones are still totally out of whack, so it may take a while to get regulated!!

Thats how I was. I was suprised that I had one already and now Im looking for it, its not coming and Im like freaking out. lol.

Yeah I know what you mean like last month I was a week and a half off but damn when af showed she reared her ugly head. And this month Im waiting I hate playing the waiting game but I know I can't get pregnant I had a tubal and if I do it will be a miracle. But I will say once you have a tubal af is alot rougher but since Im breastfeeding its not too too bad (if that makes sense)

I didnt get one until my daughter was 6 months and then again when she was 8 1/2 months.

Thats the thing, Ive already had one since my son was born, so I wasnt sure if it was normal for it to be irregular. Thanks so much for the replies ladies.
