I left the church when I was 18 and I have about 5 rosaries

I really want a cool rosary. Not for anything religious. I just think they're pretty.

I have a Gothic marcasite cross that i wear too...no religious purpose. I just think it's cool.

There are some really pretty rosaries--really pretty all sorts of religious smurf, really.

My sister has a virgin de guadalupe--tacky, but cool in its own way.

I like a lot of the celtic/wiccan/pagan jewlery and ritual stuff. *sigh*

I like a lot of the trappings of religion--just don't buy the premise. Ah, well.

I think a nice Resource Bible with his name on it would be nice. This type of Bible has the scriptures and historical information along with maps and other useful information that he might enjoy.

When I used to hit up the goth clubs in LA, I'd wear my first communion rosary (white) with my deceased grandfather's rosary (black)..... at least I got some cool jewelry out of being catholic

The coolest rosary I ever saw was one where the beads were made out of rose petals (don't ask me how they do that)... I wanted it but it was like $100.

Maybe some engraved fancy pens, stationary, leatherbound journal, or engraved Bible? He's probably going to want to write his family and friends, if they're allowed to do that anyways....So something like that, that isn't too flashy, but useful, would probably be a nice gift for him.
