C section question

posted 2nd Apr
I had a C- Section on Saturday. I finally came home yesterday but I am a little concerned about the swelling under my insicion. The scar is clean and it is not leaking anything but under it it is swollen and numb. Is that normal? I barely have had rest and trying to handle things with my son could that be the reason why it is swollen? Before I left the hospital the doctor told me that as long as I dont ge an infection on the scar that I should be fine. But it is numb! ANy advise will help a great deal, thanks!

Maybe you're getting a hematoma....I would call my doc. If it's red and hot to the touch you may have an infection.

My scar is still numb almost 6 years later. I think it is normal. It is also fine for it to get puffy.

I don't have personal experience (yet anyways) but my mom had c-sections with her kids and she has mentioned that beneath her scar is nunb ... so we're talking about 30 years here   .. if it feels hot to the touch... or sore .. it could be something to check with your dr

Yeah. There is a good (a damn GREAT) chance of me getting a c-section =(. But I know it's for the health of my baby so I'm suckin up to it.

But is the c-section as bad as it looks?! How's the healing process? I am very curious about all this... this would be new to me.

Its a rough few weeks but after 6 days I didn't have to take any pain meds. I was just really sore for a few weeks and about 4 weeks till I felt 100%. Well except for no sleep!

They put mine in as i was going numb.
I could barely feel them down there.
I could tell they were doing something;;but couldnt really feel it.
thats the last thing I remember feeling, till the next morning.
