We originally decided against it because we figured members on here would all be part of the same club. As the forums have grown bigger and bigger the desire to make your profile private to only a select few begins to make more sense.

Do you think we have hit this critical mass of members already? Which parts of your profile make you feel uncomfortable to share? (note that we do allow your media items & announcements to be viewable to your parentank only). How about the information snippets that you can see under your avatar -- are those okay? (i.e. age, status, kids, date joined, and location).

An alternative to blocking out members would be, for instance, to use two different "about me's" -- one that your Parentank members can see, and one for the rest of the members.

I think it would be fine for people to see my info under my photo to get a general idea about me, but everything else private? About me, comments, etc.

I think pics, and comments should be private. I like to look at people profiles to "get to know" the other girls. Like a general gist but i do think that pictures should be seen only by the people we have parent tanked or that have parent tanked us. And comments should only be seen by people that we add to our parent tank. I say this because personally, im not "buddy buddy" with anyone really but there are people that i enjoy seeing their new pics and reading their topics so i have added them to my parent tank but they have not added me to theirs.

You can make your pics private to your parentank. When you are on in your albums from your "my profile" section you should see a privacy option next to each individual image (you have the choice of "public", "members only", and "my parentank").

YES YES YES! I've been wanting this since the day I joined. I like to keep the majority of things I share online to be with people that I've had the opportunity to chat with and form a little trust with...I am uncomfortable having my About Me, comments, even my own PT viewable to others that aren't on my list.
