After 26 hours of continuous labor Robert Evan came into this world at 2:24 pm on August 18th. He weighs 7 lbs 1 oz and he is 20 3/4 inches long. After the Cervadil I was still only dilated a fingertip and 50% effaced. They started pitocin at 8 am on the 17th. My little one had the doctor and nurses scared as he didn't tolerate pitocin at all. Every time I got a contraction his heart rate dramatically dropped. Pitocin was stopped and restarted for a while. At 12:20 pm I was dilated to 2 cm, they broke my water and started pitocin again. They had to keep stopping my pitocin and I was stuck on my side for hours. I went 6 hours before asking for an epidural, my contractions were coming every 2 minutes and peaking off the charts. I finally got an epidural around 6:30 pm on the 17th. I fell right to sleep no problem. Before the epi I was stuck around 3 cm, after I dilated to 5 cm and stuck there for about 4 hours. I stayed around a 6-7 for 8 hours. At about 6 am I was checked again I was only up to 8. 10:30 am I was 9.5 cm and stuck there. At 1:40 pm still NO difference and they said to try and push past the remaining cervix. 3 pushes and his head was out of the cervix and pretty low. My epidural had somehow worn off completely on the left side. I started pushing him out and could feel everything. It was HORRIBLE!

Edit: I can't count lol. I was in labor for 26 hours not 14....I was thinking midnight not noon lol.

That's a difficult labor. Kind of like mine! Mine wasn't as bad, but I could feel everything on my left side too! I felt it also but it was so worth it. Sorry it was so long! But congrats!

Yeah it started to wear off when I got to 9.5 cm. Then when I started pushing I wasn't numb on either side. After I had him I got out of the bed and into the wheelchair on my own. They didn't have to help me get up or walk or anything.

I'm pretty crampy, like period style cramps in my back and belly. I'm hoping something is happening and not just a poop! haha

due date tomorrow. I am still 1 cm dialated as of friday and no end in site....lol. I am still working and hoping that she will drop more. they say babys head is low I am still 70 percent efaced and at times feel some pressure but no contractions. I have a feeling we will be going to 41 weeks.

I'm with ya. I don't think mine is interested in coming out even a little bit. I was due yesterday, had slight cramps and they went away. such a tease

understand that. I guess i am becoming impatient but wont induce until 41 weeks. so possibly the earliest will be the 28th. I am now uncomfortable up until about 39 weeks I was pretty comfortable. going to continue working and every day take a walk or 2

I'm pretty sure I'll be having my LO in September, I'm going to 41 before I get induced as well. I'm 0% effaced and dilation...0!!!! This kid is my little womb dweller, she loves it in there. The anticipation is killing me though.

So I got news today I get go pick up my son from the funeral home Saturday or Monday I couldn't believe I'm saying this but I'm happy to bring him home so I can be at peace

Congrats to all of those who have had their babies! I'm 1 day overdue but I really think things are happening as I type this. I had an OB appointment on Wednesday and when he checked my cervix I was 3 cm and baby's head was RIGHT there so he swept my membranes and stretched me to 4 cm. I've been having some tightening here and there since and pressure in my bum/crotch but not full out contractions. I tried to get my hubby to have sex with me last night to get things going but he refused, saying it's "Too weird because the baby's head is right there" *eye roll*. This morning when I got up I went pee and had bloody mucous on the toilet paper and when I went again a little while after that I had more so I'm pretty sure that was my bloody show. Things are happening soon, I can feel it!

My DS was born with Jaundice and we have been fighting it. Today we were told his levels were 11.4. We have to continue the blanket for this weekend. Monday he's finally allowed to come off of it! He dropped down to 6.7 lbs and now he has gained 5 oz!
