Thanks. I hope so too. This is all so new to me. My last pregnancy was a piece of cake compared to this one.

32 weeks today. Got my midwife appointment in a couple of hours.

Well appointment went good. I grew to where I am suppose to be. So measuring 32 weeks. Which means I grew 4 weeks in 2 weeks time. I also lost another pound. So now I've lost 2lbs in 2 weeks. Blood pressure was great. 106 over 60.

well today was my baby shower it was such but a whole alot of my side of family did not show up and my husband's grandparents and his other aunt didn't show up either. i'm really hurt by this cuz tomorrow theres a family gathering and they want us to go which i find fck up i don't understand why people act this way i just broke down crying after the baby shower

That does suck. But I'd just be happy that you got one and be thankful to the people that did come. Family can be messed up sometimes, I should know with my family lol! No one in my family has even brought up a baby shower. Pretty sure I'm not getting one at this point.

Well add yet another thing going wrong for me. I got moderate ketones this morning. Just waiting to call the doc till they are open. Ugh. It's such a Monday already

For all of you no ton Facebook: Fri night was my oldest sons graduation & Sat was his party. Well at 3 am Sat morning I woke up vomiting, this continued every hour til I called the after hours nurse at 7 am & she told me there was a stomach flu going around, to take immodium & drink plenty of fluids. If it continued to call her back. But to give it time. So I tell my SO that he is going to have to take the reigns of the graduation party & I was just going to stay in bed. Well a few mins later he comes back & says my son is throwing up too! So we end up cancelling his party. A few hours later my son is pretty much better & I am still puking & smurffing my guts out! So I tell my SO if this continues By the 12 hr mark I am callin back. Then before the 12 hr mark I was starting to fell better, kept some mint tea down & some water, it had been like 3 hrs since I last threw up, I had no more poop in me to come out! Then all the sudden it all came up, so I called in to the on call nurse & she told me to come in. Get to L&D they make me put on a gown & the nurse tells me we are going to hook you up to monitors & go from there. Well as soon as she hooked up the one that checks for contractions she said yup you are having contractions so you will be getting an IV! I was so crampy from throwing up fpr 13 hrs I couldn't even tell the difference between contractions & just crampy pain!! So the nurse comes in & hooks up my IV & starts me on my 1st bolo. Then the on call Nurse( head nurse) comes in & says Dr Bovo will be in we are going to give you a shot to slow down & stop these contractions. She explains to me that this Terbutilne will give me the shakes & make my heart race & as she is explain nurse Angie (who just started her shift) came in with the shot & asked if they had explained & they said yes so she starts to give me the shot. After she was done she left & after the Dr & head nurse finished explaining that I was going to be getting this shot & a shot of something for the nausea & they left the room. I said to my SO man if this is supposed to stop contractions it better work soon cus I think they are getting worse, a min later they nurse (head nurse) and Dr come in with that "bad" look, the head nurse shook her head & said there was a mix up & Angie had given me the wrong shot (meanwhile another nurse is giving me the terbutiline shot while they are explaining the mistake!) Apparently nurse Angie gave me a pretty powerful shot pitocin instead of terbutiline!! So they are explaining that this shot of pitocin usually lasts for 2 hrs so for the next 2 hrs they would be giving me shots of terbutilne to counter the pitocin until they flatline my contractions! After the 2hr mark I was still having contractions & she wanted to check me & I was 1 cm, soft like butter & 50%, she was worried, I got 2 more shots of terbutilne til my contractions were very spaced & after was given procardia in pill form to keep contractions at bay so they could get me to drink & eat. They kept me overnight. By morning I got another shot of terbutiline & continued the procardia & zofran, I managed a liquid breakfast of broth, tea & jello, by lunch I had a bagel and even though I was still contracting (about 3 or four in 2 hrs) they allowed me to go home!! I am on rest (not bed rest) but am to take it easy for 2 days til I go back in & see the Dr tomorrow morning at 9 am! I was given a script for procardia (for contractions) and zofran for nausea (which I havent taken since last night cus I dont think I need it)
The dr is really worried about me going into preterm labor because I was contracting days before all this happened & I am already making change, because of the "jump start" they gave me at L&D and because this is my 4 th & my body already knows what it is supposed to do! So we shall see where I go from here!! I am just glad they go it all under control & we didn't get to meet my nameless son before his time   As much as I complain & am done with this pregnancy I do not want him to come before I know he will be ready!! I was slightly scared this weekend, so I am glad he is still in there!!
And on a good note, he handled everything great! He was a real pro in there, and he was being very difficult for the nurses to keep him in the monitor, lol! He is def gonna be a handful I think!! He was dancing a jig the entire time & gave all them a good laugh when they all took turns trying to keep him on the monitor,lol!!

Oh my god how scary!
I'm glad they got things under control, I would have been pissed that they gave me the wrong shot   .

Up early, having coffee, then shower. Gotta get ready for my follow up apt to see if I am being released from rest! Hope all goes well. Cus I have my self worked up about everything! Swear I thought I saw blood in my urine (it was orange colored) and when I wiped there looked like red streaks in it, but only that once! Maybe its the meds she has me on? I dunno, gonna bring it up! I dont need an infection yet!! Worried too if she takes me off the procardia that my contractions may come back, since I was having them for days before I got sick (on & off) Guess we shall see, as I much as I want my baby boy here, he aint ready yet!!

holy wow that is scary! I cant believe they accidentally gave you pitocin. wow

so I just got back from my midwife appointment.
good news- passed the diabetes test! baby is head down and sounds fantastic

but my uterus is measuring 3 weeks ahead. anybody else have this?

Same here.
I'm not surprised though.
My son was a 'bigger' baby.
The last time I carried a baby to term was 2 and a half years ago then 4 MCs spread threw out that time, my uterus is bouncing back I guess you could say.
I wouldn't be concerned.

it didnt seem like a big deal to me, but then I thought maybe it was something to be concerned about when she said if it's still measuring liek this at next appointment she'll book another ultrasound to check it out.

How big was your daughter? You could be having a bigger baby.
