could it be water weight?

I got down to 163/164. i was so happy. When i started trying to lose weight i was at about 176. I just weighed myself and I was 166 I don't know how i gained weight so fast. I didn't change my diet a whole lot or anything. I know I might be starting my period soon so I was thinking maybe its just water weight or something.

I used to always gain 3 pounds right before my period, and then a day or two after I started my period they'd have disappeared.

Did you weigh yourself at the same time of day? From the time I wake up til the time I go to bed there is a 3-4 pound difference.

You're only supposed to weigh yourself once a week in the morning. So many women come through our clinic freaking out about 2 or3 pounds. If you do feel like you're gaining weight or slipping off of your routine try doing something diffrent. Alot of people gain weight because they dont give themselves varatiy of excersice and food. I would'nt worry about it too much. It could just be your cycle or a bowel that hasn'tbeen passed.

I was a wrestler for 6 years, I know a thing or two about losing weight. But my advice to you is don't watch weight, watch inches. Everybody's weight fluctuates 2-5 pounds a day. The best way I kept my weight down, about 13 pounds every season, was a lot of water and don't eat carbs after lunch. Your body will burn off the energy during the day, and you don't need a lot of energy at night. Good luck to ya.
