well i attempted to read your whole post but once again got interrupted but i know for a FACT that there is a passage in my king james bible and in my Catholic Bible that specifically does state that a "MAN SHALL NOT LAY DOWN WITH A MAN" -seems enough for me to say that the Bible Does condemn it- not saying whether i do or not. Have you ever read a book called " The Other Bible" - it is a book of Ancient Scriptures including Gnostic Gospels, Dead Sea Scrolls, Visionary Wisdom Texts, Christian Apocrypha, Jewish Pseudepigrapha, and the Kabbalah with an intro by Willis Barnstone. I got the book just before I had my baby and havent had a chance to read it much- but you seem very interested in this type of thing- so maybe check it out. It discusses the literature that was excluded from the official canon of the Old and New Testaments. "Had events been otherwise and certain of these texts incorporated in our Bible, our understanding of the tradition of religious thought would have been radically altered." "This is the gretaer Bible of the Judeo-Christian world."

i love this post I know that I am late on it. Great research. The hatred of people that most people use in the name of god is very unappealing to me. When i was younger it made me an atheist but as i have gotten and experienced things that have made me believe in a god but not a god that hates a god that loves.

However, IMO religion takes this too far in general. The bible doesn't say that homosexuality is a worse sin. I know a lot more people guilty of greediness myself. I always find it so hypocritical to see someone blasting homosexuality and then they are on their 2nd wife. Or had sex before married, or have a drinking problem. All equal sins. A sin is a sin. Is homosexuality a sin? Yes. Is it worse then half the things people do that are against homosexuality? Nope.

OMG,I cant read all that...LOL..I think it is a sin but i dont think its for us to judge or hate. I got my own problems...
