Wow. I just read this with Peyton on my lap and I started crying but held him a whole lot tighter. Your daughter was very beautiful and you are one strong mama. Thanks for sharing your story.

If its the same thread I read it was another story about an encephole (sp?) and the mama is still pregnant, she just found out.

When Adi passed, it was due to her heart defect not her 'cele. The 'cele is merely the reason that the heart surgery couldn't happen. I have lots more information and experiences that I can share about her 'cele.

Hi, Im the one going through the encephelocele diagnosis and I must say this story has made me cry beyond belief. It is so hard to have to hear such horrible news when you expect everything to be ok. Being diabetic and pregnant is not an easy thing to deal with because the blood sugars are not in full control. I cant help but wonder if there was more that i could have done. This was not a planned pregnancy and i surely could have controlled my blood sugars more if i had planned to do so. I will enjoy whatever time i have left with my little peanut. I still do not know if i will terminate or not as i do not want him suffering but at the same time i feel like i should and will get a second opinion and make sure the right thing is done. You are a very brave mother for doing what you did and im glad you got to spend some time with your baby girl who was very precious. I wish i had that same braveness but i just dont know if i can bare it. I just want to do whats right and whats best for my baby. I know i can always try again like the Dr said but i was so happy with this one. I have a retroverted uterus and is apparently very difficult for me to even get pregnant so this is already a miracle for me and regardless of what happens i will be grateful for the experience and knowing that i am in fact capable of creating something so precious as life itself. Thank you for your support and i will keep you updated on what i will do and what the Dr says on Monday. Please keep me in your prayers!!

Sweetheart, I am not brave. We did what felt right for US, what we felt was best, throughout. That's all you can do. If you choose to terminate, there is nothing wrong with that and don't you dare let anyone tell you otherwise. Ever.

You have to make the best decision for you guys. Screw whatever anyone else thinks, it's your baby and your body.
