Am I smurfed or can I unsmurf myself?!

Ok so first off I know what I did was illegal so no need to point that out. I had a link card you over 2,000 dollars on it. Don't ask how it got that high because I don't even know myself. I use it every month. I also got tanf on the card. Anyways, I really need money so I let my "friend" sell some of it for me for .50 cents on the dollar. I told him he could sell about $400 which would give me $200 extra bucks. I would of plenty of enough for groceries still. Well...he spent ALL my link and tanf and won't even give me a dollar for it. I already cancelled my card and eveything. Total he owes me over $900. I'm smurfed now because I depended on that money for bills and now to dont even have money to buy food. I have a job but I only make around $260 a month!!!! Oh and I don't get tanf anymore.

And you can't even sue him without notifying the authorities that you committed welfare fraud.

Damn that really sucks...I would say that he stole your card and spent it all, honestly. Even though what you did was illegal(I've done it too, but only with people I really trust) he needs to pay you back that is smurfed up!

Your friend doesn't owe you a dime, that was the governments money so he owes them. You could report that he used it and they can go after him. I'd suggest looking for a much better job asap
