I think its unfair too as the entry fee is expensive to begin with.
Apparently if you don't reach the halfway point by a certain time they divert you to a shorter course. The problem is they dont tell you until the day of. Luckily we do have a 9am start time. Sorry to hear about your asthma, that sucks.

Hey!! So, I spoke to my friend who just did her 3rd mudder a month ago, she said they only will lead you to the other course IF your start time is after noon. Otherwise you're in the clear, it's because they don't want to be out there forever. One of the girls on her team this year was injured but they all stayed with her and it took them 4 hours to finish, but their heat was at 9:20, so I think you'll be JUST FINE! Don't stress, you've trained hard and you WILL complete the course

  It's getting closer!!
I worked out today for the first time since having my asthma attack and blah I had to use my inhaler 3x in an hour   but I got through it and obviously didn't die haha

Hey girl!! I just got back to the hotel, and wanted to let you know how it went!!
We ended up only doing 20 obstacles, the course was almost 12 miles long.
It was HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD!
I have no other way to express it. I almost gave up. If your course isn't hilly and crazy like here in tahoe (which plus the added altitude) then it shouldn't be bad. Our first 3 miles were straight up hill, so much that it was like climbing up a freaking hill!
I'm all bruised up, scraped up and so sore I can barely walk, but fun!!

My sister just did Tough Mudder a few months ago. She loved it. My brother and BIL did the Survivor Mud Run today. It makes me want to do it so much!! lol.

It'll be a while (if ever) before I'm ready, but maybe we'll see.

There's our team before. The after shots they're all scattered. LOL we don't have one of all of us because we kind of got split up, BUT we all finished with a partner basically, and crossed the finish line within a few minutes of eachother.

Alirghty, I started this thread almost a year ago and my "Tough Mudder" dreams are now going to be realized tomorrow. I'm so beyond excited and nervous. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonigh. Met up with the other Mudders on my team and had a great dinner at a Japanese steakhouse. Then we're all meeting for breakfast tomorrow and then getting our asses kicked. I don't think I'm going to be able to sleep tonight.

Thank you! It's 5am. I am up, bright eyed and bushy tailed was unable to sleep much last night. T minus 4 hours!
