re: Bumbleride Indie Twin reviews?
posted 17th May
I laughed out loud about the Finn/dog name comment. The same thing happened with my in-laws and their little boy (Quinn)...I smartly decided never to tell them that was also the name of my parents' dog, but I can't help thinking about it every time I say his name. Too funny!
Glad you are going to take the Bumble leap! Let us know. I, too, decided to keep the Bumbleride so we'll have to compare notes. I really am bummed about how hard it is to fold, but I also must have too high of expectations b/c I think they are all gigantic and cumbersome so it's not like I'll ever find one that folds with a simple flick of the wrist! I also am 32 weeks pregnant so am not exaclty graceful doing anything right now, let alone test-driving putting a giant stroller into the back of my car. Do make sure it fits in your car's trunk (or "boot" as you call them, right!?) as ours barely does and we have a Toyota RAV4...
One other note on the carseat compatibility: I noticed--I think it was w/ with the Zooper but it might have been the Bumbleride-- that on some sites it said it was compatible w/my seat, on others it didn't. I asked a helpful sales rep what was up and she said that in many cases they hear of parents finding that the seat fits, but the company itself can't (legally) promote that it is compatible b/c they haven't done all the testing and don't want to get in trouble if something happened like it fell out. So you might end up lucky in that your seat does work out but they just can't promote it. I found that even though a site said my Chicco was compatible w/the Zooper, it did not fit securely in there which made me too nervous. Though it fits quite nicely and clicks reassuringly into the Bumbleride (most of the time--this is without an infant to truly test it out yet!) So again, I wish you luck on that one and maybe it will work out.
I noticed that the Bumblerides are on backorder now where I ordered mine from, so we'll probably have more company rolling around and more reviews to refer to in the next few weeks/months! (I got the Orange (spice?) one--how about you?) Take care!
