there are LOTS of original unique names out there that don't sound horrible or people cannot figure out how to say it based on the spelling and have etomology (meaning they have an origin and history and aren't made up)

I'm personally not a fan of those names at all and would never consider but to each his own. Brooklyn is okay but I like Brooke better, as is Robin. I don't like London because I don't think it is feminine at all and it just seems tasteless. Channel is a TV station, and that is how people will pronounce it (teachers, professors etc meeting her for the 1st time) even if you really mean it to be said like Chanel. In that case, both Chanel and Diamond sound like stripper names or something a person may name their tea-cup yorkshire terrier. I don't even know what 'Nomis' is, it sounds like something from that Nuba Nuba song. Bentley is okay but it is definitely not unique anymore, after Maci from Teen Mom skyrocketed it to fame.It's actually number 47 on the top 100 baby names list.

When naming a baby, I think one rule should always be used: When your child is 25 years old and trying to get a job and fill out applications, people are going to laugh if her name is Diamond or his name is Nomis. Most of these names are childish, something that could work until they're 10 or 11, but could you imagine an 80 year old named London?

But if you want to name your kid these names, more power to ya
