Venting

Hey, I just got back from the doctor, and I had a terrible expecrince I am the kind of girl/person that gets really emotional, and anxious any time I have to spread mylegs wide open in stirrups. But last time I went the nurse that was in there with me held my hand and talked to me while he was checking me this time the NP was in there with me and I started breathing real heavy and freaking out, and she was got all like mad about it, she didn't say one word to me or anything, it pissed me off, then the doctor was done talking to me, and he left, then she said oh your all done and free to leave in a bitchy way. I don't know it just pissed me off so bad, I hate this shit!!! But just thought I would get it out of my system, I was like almost crying though. I know it also is in those pregnancy hormones but it sucked and it made me feel stupid.

My sister is the way and she kinda freaks everytime too. Her husband usually has to go with her to keep her calm.
I am not to crazy about my dr NP this pregnancy. I love the one from my first pregnancy.

Don't worry about that bitchy nurse. I don't like people invading my privacy either. I take my Fiance with me and It helps me calm down because I realize if it's no big deal to him (he's very over protective) then it's ok. Just remember that they see this kind of stuff all the time. If your man isn't available do you have a sister or a friend that could go withyou?

It is probably your emotions getting the best of you...perhaps you were both just misreading each other? I personally love my dr and all of his nurses and have never been treated badly. But I would cry for sure if I was! I have been super emotional lately...sucks.

Can you ask to have the same girl you had last time? You can be particular to make yourself feel better. Also, you can ask they write it in your chart that you get uneasy and need reassurance from the assisting NP or whomever. So then they know to expect it and the doctor can have his assisting person know ahead of time your needs.

I had a bad experience with the woman making my C-section appointment (def. not the same thing)... Real snippy and short---basically rude and bitchy...I figrued maybe she was having a bad day. then she did it again. Some people hate their jobs and take it out on everyone. I guess if she pulls it again. try some yoga technique or something with breathing and visualizing the situation being different?!?!?! Ask to speak to the Doctor about her behavior and how uncomfortable it made you and that you would prefer not to have anything to do with her from here out if it bothers you enough!!!

Yeah It sucks, I may be stupid or whatever, I just don't like it at all, and that bitch just ruined my day even more, when she was acted like that way towards me. That al ready is written in my chart, and it just sucks, my boyfriend can not go with me, b/c he watches our other son while I go, she just made me feel like I was stupid and a baby. I hate people like her though. I don't know if i can get that same nurse everytime or not. She just made me feel very comfortable, then this time, that bitch just made me feel like shit. But hopefully next time will be better, I guess if i get her again, I will just ask the Dr. can I have anotehr nurse in here with me instead of her. I'm sure he will understand.

You aren't stupid. I forgot...I didn't like my high risk OB consultant so I requested not to see him anymore. They honored that request and I was great with it. I ended up having him another time and his U/S tech was very blah and barely said anything and it made the U/S a little uncomfortable. I'm glad I spoke up and got to see the good doc there. Now I get to do my appts at my regular OB and I am SOOOOOOOOOO happy about that, cause I got to choose the 2 docs for my c-section and they are pretty much doing everything from here out, so I don't have to deal with anyone else for the next 7 weeks.
