Labor Story ( Kinda Long )

so I had my baby on Tuesday March 18th at 9:54 pm. Jordyn Amare Kentrell is now in the world!

Here is the labor story:
March 17th around 7 something pm I went to the L&D cause I was having decreased fetal movement ( so I thought ) turns out he was just sleeping, so I left there around 10 pm just to turn around and go to the emergency room for my fiance around midnight. So finally around 9 am we got to go home, but that was just the begining. I had started to feel contractions around 4 am and they were sparatic but by 9 am they were getting closer and closer about 8 mins apart. So by 10 am until 11:30 am the contractions went from 5 mins to 3 mins apart. I couldn't stand them! So I went and jumped in the shower hoping the water would help soothe the pain ( WRONG ANSWER!!) so I woke my boyfriend up and told him its time to go, by then my contractions were about 1 min apart. We got to the hospital and they hooked me up to the monitor and my contractions weren't picking up but believe me they were there. So the nurse in triage checked me and said I was 3-4cm and that I was going to have to wait a minute cause they were trying to make sure they had room for me. So next thing I know she came with an IV and said "You're staying!!" I was so excited! So she hooked me up and gave me some Fentinol in my iv. That helped me a lot with the pain. So they wheeled me 2 doors down to the next room and got me all hooked up. They asked me if I wanted an epi and I said yes ( not because of the pain ) because I hadn't slept in 2 days, so they gave it to me ( didn't hurt at all and took effect quickly!! ) so about an hr later they checked me again and I was at 5. They said the contractions weren't close together so they gave me some Pitocin and they got closer and closer but I didn't feel anything ( I napped a lil ) so they said around 9pm they were gonna check me again and so I was calling my family to let them know to come on...they were saying they wanted to wait to see how far I was. So around 9:15 pm they checked me and they said I was complete! I called my family again and they sped there! I only live about 10 mins from the hospital good thing! So I started my practice pushes, my dad and sister came rushing in, my sister started video taping immediately. So I pushed for about 30 mins or less...they kept having me stop because my doctor wasn't anywhere around....the last 10 mins or less he showed up...and I pushed! It was amazing! He is the best thing that has happend to me....he weighed 6 lbs 11oz and he was 19 1/2 inches long. Pure perfection...best part is for the most part he sleeps through the night! I love him more than life itself! I did have to get stitches though because I slightly tore...but I am in no pain at all...after he was born, no pain...haven't had any pain since his birth. This was the best! I guess him being late in the long run doesn't mean much of anything, just baked in some more perfection! Awww congrats on your baby, your right long story but a good one  . I'm close by so I guess I need to hear some story's right about now.

thank you everyone! I know I am late replying but I am not on here much givin the obvious reasons! But I want to thank all of you for the congrats! I am happy I make you not scared anymore....labor isn't bad at all...I know everyone is different. I thought that it was gonna be horrible and that it was gonna be painful etc, but I guess I was like my mom and that I had a short easy labor. Good luck to those of you who haven't experienced such joy yet, you soon will....its absolutely amazing to look into your childs eyes for the first time and calm their cries! Mommies are wonderful! Thanks again ladies! I promise to post pics when I get a chance! He's a week old today! They grow so fast!

wow he was born on my birthday!!!! aww thats so cute i turned 21 on the 18 and around the time you were pushing i was buying my first drink! welcome to motherhood and hope you and your little guy is well.
