Home birth anyone?

I'm planning a home birth, on a houseboat of all things... Anyone else with plans other than normal hospital birth?

If it weren't for the fact that I'm a worry wart, I probably wouldn't mind doing a home birth. I want to be at a hospital for the "just in case" moments.

Good luck with the houseboat thing- maybe do a water birth even- seems they are more comfortable for women that do them if you want to go naturally.

Same. If I didn't worry so much, I'd get myself a damn jacuzzi (sp) sounds nice =]

lol thats awesome! i wouldve loved to do a homebirth or at least at a birthing center but my insurance wont cover it   thank alot medicaid!

I'd definitely like to have a home birth if I have another kid. Now that I know what labor's like, I'll be able to handle it better at home seeing as I know what's coming.

i thought about it but, birth is sooooo bloody and I have cream carpets in every room. I was too afraid of getting blood everywhere. At least at the hospital they have someone to clean it up...oh, and the lovely drugs help too
