9lbs?!?

posted 20th Mar
I just got back from my doctor's appt. where they told my I have lost nearly 9lbs in the past 2 weeks! I was panicking at first, but it's just because I have aversions to sweet food and have been craving vegetables rather than anything fattening. I've been eating like a hog still. Has anyone else had this issue of losing weight in the first trimester? I don't want my baby to suffer because of my fussy stomach.

I lost 15 pounds due to morning sickness. Don't worry so much about it unless the doctor says something.

I never lost 9 lbs at once but there was many times I lost a lb or two and wasnt gaining weight...my doctor yelled at me and made me keep a food journal. I think a lot of pregnant people lose weight in their 1st trimester.

I've lost 22 lbs. my entire pregnancy. Then for my 35th week dr. appt I was told that I lost 4 more lbs. My wedding rings keep slipping off my hand. I had to put them on a neclace.

As long as you are eating healthy, don't worry. I lost several pounds during my first trimester. I am 30 weeks now and have only gain 6. Just continue your healthy eating habits, take you prentatals, and you should be fine.

you'll gain weight later on and if it gets too bad your dr will tell you.

Yep thats about how much I lost in my first trimester because I was so sick.. I'm now almost 30 weeks and I've gained 15 of it back. I was worried that I wasn't gaining enough but my doctor isn't.As long as you don't loose too much and you start to gain it back your doctor probably wont be worried..

My last pregnancy I got to 198, and I did everything I could to eat right.............winter pregnancies are hard, holiday food, winter cold.........I am sick of this cold, I need to get out of this house!

lol! I've had to take off my promise and engagement ring exactly for that reason. Even my size 5 wedding ring slips off easily now.

That's a huge relief though. As long as everything I eat is going to the baby.

I Am due the same date u are, and i have lost a total of 9.5 lbs to date, I had my last Dr apt Monday and I gained a pound. I asked my Dr about it and she measured me and said that i am measuring perfect, and not to worry. As long as you are eating healthy, there should be nothing wrong. Post back if u wanna talk.
