I have type 1 diabetes and LO came out healthy.
as long as you control your blood sugar and they're not always high, then your good. don't stress yourself out because that can cause high blood sugar. talk to your doctor about your blood sugars when they are high. if they get really high call your doctor as soon as you can. if you have ketones, GO TO THE HOSPITAL. it's never good to have it while pregnant.
when I first got pregnant my H1C (how your blood sugars have been for the past three months in that time period) was 11 (it's supposed to be 7) by the time I had LO it finally go down to 7. a couple of months after having LO my blood sugars started going outta control because of infections. luckily I had no infections while pregnant. if you have any thought of infections contact your doctor immediately, this can also cause high blood sugars.
good luck with your pregnancy, I'm sure everything will be okay

I've had 2 perfectly healthy babies.
what does your diet look like? I'm assuming you're counting carbs>
Has your insulin intake gone up? the further along in the pregnancy, your dose should increase.

I also have type 1 diabetes, iv had it sense i was 9. with my first pregnancy i found out i was pregnant at 4 weeks had my A1C done and it was 14.5 which is insanly high. I was told to have an abortion because my child would more than likely be born with mental retardation. I didn't listen however and over the 8 months i was pregnant got my self under great control and had a beatiful baby boy, how has nothing worng with him. My second it was the same found out at about 4 weeks got myself under tight control again and had a perfect baby boy! Now i am on pregancy # 3. things are going according to plan. Insulin has about doubled sense i found out i was preganat i have a insulin pump. so luckly i dont have to give myself shots anymore,, however with my boys i was giving shots 5 times a day and testing my blood sugar before and after meals and at bed so a total of 8 times a day! fingers get sore after that many testings! Just keep a close eye on the sugars, don't let them get too high or too low! either one isn't good. Good luck, it really isn't has hard as it seems once you get the rutin down.
