last ultrasound

So I had my 3rd and final ultrasound on Friday at 33w 6d due to the fact that I was measuring big. Everything went good and I'm not in need of a c-section. The reason I was measuring big was because I have a small frame and the baby had no where to go but out. Baby Ethan now weighs a little over 5.5 lbs & growing.

Usually you only get 2 if that.

First to determine how far along you are (if needed) and second for the gender US.

Some people only get one just the gender one.

Thanks, No you could have more than 3 but I was really only supposed to have 2. You could have more for different reasons. I love ultrasounds. Wish I could've more.

Unless they think something is going on that isn't normal you prob won't get another one.

Yeah usually they don't let you get one just by asking.

and Im sure they will let my schedule
for another one. Im not worried about it.
Every doctor is diffrent..........

It's not the doctor that you have to worry about, it's your insurance.

I'm not saying it is but your insurance won't pay for it unless it's ordered by the doctor and most doctors don't order them unless they need to (if something is not looking right). You asked a question and I"m trying to explain it to you. I'm sure you can ask him for it but I'm just saying don't be surprised if they tell you no because you don't need it.

but my only ? was how many do you usually
get and that was it. Im aware of everything that
can be said or done cause it is pretty obvious

Ok just making sure I just didn't want you to get your hopes up incase they do tell you no.

If they won't do it you can go to one of those independent places. We asked our doc about it and he said all the commotion that it is bad for the baby is silly. It is just sound waves so he said it is fine to go. We went to get a second opinion on the gender since we are military and they often have new techs without a lot of experience doing them and they often get the gender wrong. It was so nice! The place we went had real beds and huge TV monitors and they brought us snacks and water. I felt like a princess! It cost $75 but it lasted over an hour and we got pictures and a video and our son was allowed in there whole time which they don't allow on base. Just an idea if your doc doesn't give you another.

thats sounds real nice!!! I would pay 75 dollars for that!
It might be diffrent in GA though...or do you know?
