I agree with your mom that if a dog attacks without reason and doesnt know the difference you can't risk that chance. These people have 3 little girls, that dog sits at the fence and goes nuts to anyone who walks or rides by. I am going to wait until her husband gets home from deployment and then go talk to his first shirt about the situation, yes it happened a while ago, but the week after it happened he deployed and nothing could be done about it now with him gone anyway.

Quoting TTC an AirForce brat:“ My dog is great now physically. Emotionally I dont know, she is more aware of other dogs around her ... [snip!] ... the time. I think she is pregnant now too so we have to be extra cautious with her. We bred her with the neighbors husky.”

I think if I had gone through what you and your dog did, I would be more cautious aswell. It's good to hear that your dog is doing well physically. It'll probably take some more time for her to heal emotionally, but I am sure she will get there. Yay for puppies! If your dog is pregnant are you going to keep some of the pups?

Well we planned on it but my sister just moved back in with my mom and she has my dogs sister and where my mom lives they can't have pets so I told her that I would take her dog until she could get her back. We are only allowed to have 2 pets where we live and we already have my dog and cat, but nobody really knows I have a cat so we will take my sisters dog but won't be able to keep a puppy. I really want to but we can't have 3 dogs. When we go home in November we might bring her dog back here with us or else she is coming here in Feb. The neighbor who we bred our dog with theirs are keeping a girl and a good friend of ours who is also here is also taking a puppy, we are selling the rest.

I think its all in how pits are raised. My pit is 2. she loves little kids and women because thats what lives in my house. She does NOT like men until they come around a few times and she knows that they respect the women and children that live in my house. She has never attacked another dog and has actually been attacked! And in that situation she tried to hide around me and whined the whole time! Pitbulls can be raised to be kinda and gentle, but like ALL dogs their temperments differ. I do feel for you on making a choice if the pit should live or not! Thats a terrible decision for anyone!
