~wear the smiliar clothes everytime you wear yourself so its an accurate weight each time.
~ way yourself the same time each day/week or whatever. i weigh myself each morning before i start eating. but it depends on you.

I started eating all my meals on salad plates during this pregnancy. Dinner plates the size of UFOs are part of the problem with obesity in America. People think they have to fill all that open space, thus overeating. I've found that more often than not, I don't want seconds when I eat on a salad plate. When I stop eating, my body has time to recognize that I'm really, truly not still hungry.

I've got all kinds of tips to stop overeating and I've found most of them to be true. In addition to eating on a salad plate, pay attention to when you stop eating for nutrition and when you're simply eating because it's there. There's a point during a meal when you may pick up the paper to read it or put down your flatware to hold a conversation with someone. That's your body's cue that you're full for nutritional purposes. Push the plate away and stop eating.

And of course, when you're in a restaurant and your plate comes, immediately cut your portions in half and ask for a takeout box. Restaurant portions are nowhere near realistic for what we should be consuming (unless you're in a restaurant that focuses on healthy food and portioning, but you'll know if that's how it is before you walk in the door). Anything on a Weight Watchers menu is exempt from the slicing in half rule. Their portions are fine.

Aw that's alright..trust me, i know the pain. When I first got pregnant back in 2002, I weighed 148 or so. When I had my daughter in Feb 03..I weighed 220. Then I never lost that weight, and got up to 270 with my second daughter. I got back down to 215 or so...gained more weight when we moved and was at 230 when I got pregnant with Landyn and weighed 267 when I had him..now back down to 214 or 215 depending on time of day. It's sad   And it's so hard!! makes me angry thinking about it.

I've got kind of a motivational tip for working out. You know when it starts hurting and burning and you feel like you can't take it much longer?? That's your body burning the calories...so push through it!! For me, it makes it easier to know that it's not just burning and hurting for no reason.

Girls, we supported each other so much during our pregnancies, we can do it with the weight loss too!

No matter how trivial you think the tip/link may be, post it! It may work for someone.

A recipe that supports weight-loss, not your style, post it! Someone will eat it!

I've got a yoga mat in the living room and an instructional video that I need to pull out of the garage. The mat has been Tiernan's "road" for his cars and trains lately. I'm going to buy a balance ball, too. I've heard that the ab workouts on those things are killer. I just hope Ty doesn't get too excited and kill himself on it. If I'm diligent about it, I might still have it around in a year. Ha.

My inspiration? I have a pair of shorts from two summers ago that I look at every day. They're not teeny tiny, but they're within my healthy weight range. I'm currently 15 pounds overweight. My goal is to get those shorts on by the end of the summer. I can do it but it's going to suck big time.

My inspiration is a pair of pants. I used to look so cute in them. HAHA, yeah. I got to loose all the weight in my ticker before that happens. I saw one of the balls today and gave it a second look. But Taylor+ball= NO FREAKING bueno. She's horrible at listening when it comes to having balls in the house. Even saying, you touch it I bust your hiney don't work, cause she knows I wont do it.

Can't stay on long..the girls are gone. Landyns being an Angel and Aarons home so we are having bonding time. Just wanted to say that I got on the elliptical a little bit ago for 10 minutes and almost got sick it kicked my ass sooo bad. I have GOT to stop being so lazy and start working out more so my body will get use to it   I took a cold shower to make the sick feeling go away and I still feel like I could puke. ACK

Tabitha....i do this too!!!! I have done it for so long that when I get pregnant It takes me forever to relax my abs ! Then as soon as baby is born my stomach just automatically just sucks in! I tell MIke all the time that once I lose all the flab I already have abs of steel under it all from holding it in all the time! =)

Michelle.....Just so you know the sugar in Mt.Dew is horrible....Mike used to drink it like it was water ( 5-6 a day) and then he finally stopped and started drinking diet pepsi max and lost about 10 lbs right within the first three weeks !!! Something to consider

I know I'm a little late on this, but, I drink diet sierra mist with a splash of 100% cranberry juice in it. It doesn't taste like diet so much that way.
