Ultrasound?

Hey, I was just wondering... this Friday is my 37 week appt.... are they going to do another Ultrasound anytime soon? It seems like it's been forever since the last one (20 weeks). I just want to see her and make sure she's doing okay inthere before the due date. I'd also like to know her weight estimation and see how big her head is b/c I'm still having a hard time imagining what this is gonna be like, HA! 

Most doctors only do one unless it's medically necessary. You can always ask

I wouldnt think so,I wanted another u/s when I was 36 weeks but nup they wouldnt give me one.I'm sure she's fine!

They wont do it unless needed. At 36 weeks I was bleeding agian and pulling contraction so they gave me an emergnancy U/S just to make sure the planenta is still attached and we couldnt even see her face or anything anymore because she was so far down my va jay jay....U will see ur baby soon and its totally worth the wait!!

I have one friday morning. I'll be at the end of 35 weeks. but they are considering it my 36 weeks appt. I would always ask. My doctor loves to give ultrasounds & tricare pays for them  

I'm 35 weeks, and I've had six already. I haven't even had any poblems. I think every doc is different. I think it also depends on if they have an u/s machine in their office. Mine does, so that might play a part in how many I've had.

I'm 28 weeks and I have one at my 31 weeks for my second anatomy scan. I guess all doctors are different. I've had at least seven u/s so far...

just and idea Look around for 3d 4d ultrasound,i went to kelowna bc for mine and its AMAZING. You can seed your child moving facial features-even opening eyes. For acouple hundred dollars you can get a video and pics.

I have my 39 week appt tomorrow and they are doing a final ultrasound for weight estimation because she thinks I may be further along that we orginally thought (he is feeling huge!). She told me back at 30 weeks when I asked if I would have another that I probably wouldn't...so you never know. It wouldn't hurt to ask!

Not a good idea for how far along she is...they wont be good pictures.

I had mine at thirty 6 weeks

My thoughts exactly...the best time for a 3d is between 27-32 weeks.

well its very rare to get good pictures at that point...the baby is normally turned and in locked position. The 4D I had done at 36 weeks you couldnt even see my daughters face she was so far shoved in my Va jay jay. Recommend best times for 4D 27-32 weeks....I only had so many 4D because of my complications but if you want face shots go for the recommended times.

Hm, well I know my doctor has an US in her office (even though she said it's not very good). They sent me to a different office when I had my US done. I'm going to ask (maybe beg if I have to   lol) for another one to be done on Friday.

I would have loved to get one of those 4D ultrasounds done. I've seen those crazy awesome pics, but I don't have the $ for that stuff.
