miscarriage but still feeling movement

posted 7th Sep '11
So last night I went into the er last night and according to the doctor, i had a miscarriage. I was told I wouldve had a daughter but this morning and all day today, Ive been feeling movement. My stomach is still hard like it would be for being pregnant. Im going to go in tomorrow to talk to my old OB and see what he has to say. If I am still pregnant, then Im happy and so is the dad but if not, then why am I feeling movement. If anyone has any advice, Id gladly accept it!

How far along were you?

After I had my daughter, and still, 15 months later, I get phantom kicks.

Was the baby already kicking? It might be phantom kicks? If not though and the baby is still alive then congrats. I will hope for the best for you mamma.

I'm 12 weeks and the doctor that I saw last night wouldnt tell me anything about the ultrasound that I had done. And I started to feel the baby moving at 8 weeks! I'm really hoping that I'm still pregnant!

a friend of mine had a still born at 26 weeks and she swore the baby was still alive because she felt movements - but the DR said it was just the baby "being moved" with her moving around - not to disappoint you at all -

Not being rude and i hope you're still pregnant, but there's no way you can feel your baby move at 8 weeks.

This seems very similar to another thread..

8weeks is a little early to be feeling movement...

I don't think what you're feeling is movement, especially if it's the same movement you've been feeling since 8 weeks (since that isn't really possible..)

But I wish the best for you!

But what I dont understand, is why the dr from last night wouldnt tell me anything about the ultrasound or the blood work that was done. I know that alot of you are saying that there is no way to feel the baby move at 8 weeks but this isnt my first pregnancy. Ive got three sons and all of the movements started at 8 weeks. they were faint but still very noticible and when i went in, my old ob clarified that it was indeed the baby moving
