yeah ive heard there is a certain way they can tell by the angle. Heck, I didnt even know they both had this nub until we found out it was actually a girl, i did some research!

Hopefully you are still pregnant, but what you can be feeling is your body trying to pass the baby. I know I didn't start to feel any strong movement until about 23-24 weeks, I mean I felt flutters before that, but not at 8 weeks, probably becuase I am on the plus size though. Best of luck though and I hope the doctor was wrong. Another thing, if he told you you were having a miscarriage before consulting your lab work and then found out he wrong that could be why he would not tell you anything. If you feel your little one is still alive in there, don;t stress or make things worse for yourself, but definitely get a second opinion.

Well at 12 weeks yes.

However, when my oldest sister passed around 5 months in uetero from a car crash, they told my mother the gender after they had taken the body out and she didn't want to know.

What made the dr say,u had a miscarriage... Were u bleeding? its hard to be wrong about a miscarriage diagnosis at 12 weeks. Something about your post, doesnt make sense or seem truthful.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but they can definitely tell the gender at 12 weeks. I'm having a boy and at my 12 week app they had to do an ultrasound because they couldn't find the heartbeat. Baby was doing great and you could definitely make out his his boy parts

It's a guess at 12 weeks. If the tech had already determined that she had lost the baby, they wouldn't bother checking the angle of the nub to determine if it had been a boy or a girl.

I'm torn..in that kind of situation I might want to know...BUT they shouldn't tell you unless you ask. But if this doctor told her that, but wouldn't tell her other stuff...it just sounds really weird to me.

Ok... My end thought was that at 8 weeks there is no way you could feel it moving... At 12 weeks there is no way that they could tell you the sex lol if that was true people would be getting gender ultrasounds alot earlier than 15 weeks...

u should read this...towards the bottom it talks about at 12 weeks its nothing but a guess. Your tech made a good guess. They checked to see what I was having when I was 13w5d and they said boy....BUT at 15 weeks its a girl now! It was the "nub" we saw that both sexes have that early.

It is very possible to feel the baby move at 8 weeks. Some people won't feel it if it's their first pregnancy. I didn't with my first but with the last three I felt every move. It starts out really light then at about 4 months that's when they begin to get a little stronger.
