! thats what I was thinking. Unfortunatly it was more than likely in your head as a wishful thinking. Even at 12 weeks it MAY have happened slightly, but the baby is so tiny the movement would have been VERY hard to detect.

I doubt he wouldnt give her any info about the blood work and all but he would tell her the sex. Also, i doubt he would waste his time to find the sex at 12 weeks, just saying

Yeah - i have heard of people feeling the baby move at 12 weeks. I sure didn't but others have.

And I have a friend who found out she was having a girl at 12 weeks, but they told her she would need to confirm it in case it was not really a girl.

BUT - did the ER doc tell you it was a girl, b/c that is really smurffy (and a little shady) that they would tell you - "oh you were pregnant with a girl but you m/c" but then not tell you any of the other pertinent info regarding the u/s........something sounds off.

You mean via u/s right? I was thinking b/w, but I don't really know. Was just correcting those who were saying you couldn't tell sex at 8wks, because that wasn't what she said.

I found out at 12w 4d that it was 80% girl, confirmed by 4D at 15w. And then confirmed again at 20+ weeks and again by 4D at 29weeks. Its possible at 12weeks but they wont say 100% IF they even tell you. Some techs or docs wont because there is such a good chance they are wrong, basically its a guess at that point.

plus i would think it would make the loss harder they dont tell u alot of stuff to spare u pain i guess so y would they tell u sex. i had a threatened m/c at 5.5 weeks and they wouldnt tell me anything other than the heart was still beating. the doc office wouldnt really either they just said the next week or so are critical ill either loss it or keep it. then at 6.6 weeks she was still in there! im 25 weeks today!

Yay for the good outcome! But I agree I dont see them telling anyone what they are having if they are miscarrying. Its one thing if you find out before any complications but to tell you just because after you have lost the baby, IDK

If you ask then maybe I could see them telling you if they are even able to tell but still IDK.

I believe between 11 and 14 weeks (or 13) both genders have the same "nub" so it is really just a guess that early. This just happened to me, I was 13w5d and they said it was a boy. I went back a few days ago at 15 weeks and now its a girl lol, the nub is gone.

wow. i have never heard of anybody feeling a baby move at 8 weeks. since it IS NOT your 1st pregnancy, my guess would be the phantom kicks that everyone is talking about. my daughter is 2.5 years old and I'm 11 weeks pregnant with #2 and I have felt to this day even before I got pregnant the second time that I was feeling 'fetal movements' But I'm sure what you're experiencing is phantom movements. The baby doesn't even start moving around like that until 9-10 weeks from what I've read all over the internet.
