If Jaylah acted satisified when she fell asleep and her hands were relaxed, I didnt wake her for the other side...She still only eats off one side during a feeding.

That's interesting because he falls asleep after ten-15 minutes on the first breast and I was looking at his fists and they were loose, I mean I could move his fingers even if they were in the fist hold. But when I let him sleep he'll wake up in either less than 5 minutes or up to two hours later to eat. The lactation consultants told me to wake him up even if he falls asleep and when I do, he does act hungry so I give him the other breast...

Jaylah usually only eats for 10 maybe 15 minutes.. And during the day she eats about every 3 hours or so.. and during the night she eats about every 4 hours unless she wakes up more often.

And I assume gaining weight? That is the same eating schedule as William most days. I fear him not gaining enough weight.

She is really beautiful.

Well, I will try it out for the next few weeks. William's 2 month appointment is on the 9th of July so they'll have a weight check and I'll cross my fingers that he gained rather than lossed.

I'm glad I found this thread! I went back to work recently part time, and I'm not pumping enough so we are going to have to start supplementing with formula.

I am worried that she wont like the formula! I guess the best thing to do is introduce it little by little, so that when I'm at work, she is already used to it.

I had more milk in the freezer, but my Wonderful husband thawed (and warmed) my last 6 oz bag when he didnt need to, so it went down the drain

Mixing formula with BM can help with a picky baby. Good luck!

I am only working part time on the weekends, and I am having trouble. I produce just enough for her to eat. I have been taking Fenugreek, but I always forget to take it, so i'm not sure if its working or not.

Thanks!! Amanda   It's tough I would love to just breastfeed her but, it can be a challenge

Apply for WIC, I applied yesterday and I get food and formula since I am breastfeeding and bottlefeeding.

I get 4 things of formula which I know will really help and I'll still have some for at least a few months when my WIC is up {in 3 months}
