Massage to induce labor

So did any of you ever go get a massage to induce labor? I plan on getting one in the morning and I was just curious if those dang pressure points really work?

Either way I am super excited because one, its a massage and two, they have a prenatal table so I get to lay on my front...I have been dreaming of sleeping on my tummy since it got to big to do it anymore lol.

aww i wanna lay on my tummy too.... i don't know of any massage places here though.. except for tokyo massage ( they supposedly give happy endings ) and i'm def not going there

hey I am doing the same thing tomorrow afternoon!!! I can't wait to get a massage!! The massage therapist at the spa told me that if they apply a lil more pressure to those points that can help with labor. I can't wait to lay on my belly either, I went to the doc today and I am still 1cm dialated and pretty much 100% effaced. But the only thing is they said I have a 50/50 chance of delivering this week otherwise I go next week and talk about induction. Damn it I want my baby out now....I am due saturday

any research you do maternity acupressure is proven to send you into labor as soon as 48 hours, sometimes sooner. i plan to do within then next week or so.

I got a pedicure today and walked the mall for 2 hours I was hoping that would start something but nothing so far good luck tomorrow massage sounds nice just a leg and foot massage was awesome today I can't imagine whole body and laying on my stomach again I can't wait for that I miss that some much

I have seen it posted on websites that it can induce labor but I have never heard of anyone on here actually saying it worked. Either way I am sooo getting one and the lady promised to do some deep tissue massaging lol.

I had a massage on Friday and she hit all the pressure points and it didn't do squat, well, except for making me feel good. i was really hoping it would work too. I hope your massage goes well and that maybe mine just didn't do it right. I didn't get to lay on my tummy though!

i havent personally asked anyone, but all the research i've done says it's proven to send 93% of women into labor within 48 hours. aside from research, i've actually been recommended the primrose oil saying it works also. i'm planning on getting me some of that here soon also.

Thats one thing I did...hunted until I found someone with a table for bellys lol I dont want to do that whole laying on my side thing. I do that enough at home lol

its something that has to be done for a significant amount of time sometimes. you may want to continue to hit the recommended pressure points yourself or get someone else to do it for you.

I would love to hit the points myself, that is if I could remember where they are. My contractions are holding steady at about 7 minutes apart since Saturday..UGH I despise back labor!

My friend in colorado got an acupressure session to induce labor when she was ripe, and her water broke on the massage table sending her into labor! I plan to get one as well, and/or acupuncture. Good luck =)

I understand...all of my contractions have been in my back. But they arent consistent. I have a few every hour and they all start in my back and right before they stop they creep to the front
