What would you suggest?!

posted 10th Mar
I started taking clomid with my period I last had on January 29th. I still have not gotten AF and I am not preg. Usually you are supposed to take it days 5-9 of AF. Since my period has not come should I continue the clomid as if my period was here when it should have? I can still ovulate on it and get preg? I have heard contradicting stories that you can get preg even without a period. I would like some input on this. Thanks!

They didn't put you on estergen*sp* and progestrone with it? Usually if you aren't pregnant the progestrone will kick in AF and you stop taking it and start the clomid again.

I would call your doctor. They should be keeping a close eye on you with clomid anyway. If you have not started take more like you have started. There is a reason why you did not start and I would have the doctor find out why.

Whenever I wouldn't get AF after my monthly round of using clomid, my doc would prescribe me Provera to start AF. Definitely call your doc. Good luck!

I need to find a new doc. She thinks I am the picture perfect health patient. I have a fractured back ( which has been proven by other doctors) but she refuses to give me an mri stating my back look perfect @@. So getting help with AF or pregnancy is pretty much zilch. So I have to start at square one with another doc.

I'm going to look for a new doc. When I go to my first appt I should suggest getting on progesterone and estrogen or just one of those? Sorry if I'm becoming one of "those girls" I just have no clue about this stuff. I had no problems conceiving my last 3 so not sure what's happening now  (

No do not take comid before Af comes- it will not work then. I would say if AF doesn't come then see if they could put you on provera to bring on a bleed- then you can start up on the clomid again...

Have you thought about going to a chiropractor for your back? Mine does x-rays before he even touches you so you'll find out what's up and then they can help you.

I live in Sacramento, CAand I swear this place is so a** backwards. I moved here a few years ago and saw a new chiro. He didn't even attempt to get an x-ray. He didn't even feel my back. Just showed me the table, adjusted me and was out the door. The OB/GYN's are just the same. The healthcare here is sad!

Another stupid question sorry. What if I need provera every month? Would that be healthy or matter when TTC? I mean after conceiving I could care less for a period. Just need it now for the time being. LOL.

Oh geeze yeah mine won't even crack youuntil he's for sure. He's good enough he does know by the feel but he won't touch you at all. You def need to find a good doctor I say this time around ask before they touch you hahaha.

Hey! that is where I am at Sacramento. I can help you out with finding a decent doctor. What health coverage do you have?

I did endless cycles of clomid to ovulate, no period, provera to bleed, then all over again...over 18 months to be exact. It's fine to do it every month...if you need to, but hopefully you won't.

Btw OP have they ever checked you for PCOS? one of the signs of pcos is not having a period or having a very irregular period.

Well rock my socks! LOL I have Blue Shield. Right now i go to Camellia Women's Health( not recommended for anyone who wants a decent doc). What side of town do you live in? I'm in the Arden/Arcade area.
