Ok with the suggestion from some other BG Mama's and my journey I am starting this thread for making a lifestyle change. There are a few posts going on between a bunch of us and I think this will just be easier. So with that said here are the basic rules:
1) No dieting, must be a lifestyle change.
2) Healthy ways to lose weight-no extremely low calorie intake, diet pills, starving, extreme detox, etc
3) Positive, motivating, encouraging and helpful ideas/tips/suggestions only
I am leaving this up to you ladies so feel free to add whatever you like. I was thinking we could not only share our success stories and what works/what doesn't work, but motivational quotes, sayings, pictures, etc. And of course if you are just looking for ideas, need motivation, someone to talk to or just want to change your way of thinking or boost your self confidence then come join us!
I would love to learn more about you ladies and share our struggles and successes with each other. I am always looking for and open to new ideas! So with that said introduce yourself and let's make this a positive place people can come to. We can help each other end the trend one step at a time!
My name is Jen (Jennifer), I am 29 years old and have a 3 year old son named Troy. I work at the Veteran's Hospital for the Federal Government and am also an Independent Beachbody coach. I work full time and am a single Mom so since my son was born all I ever made were excuses about not eating healthy or working out. It was not until this May that I got a promotion at work and decided it was time to focus on ME and my body. So with that being said I started to eat "cleaner" and watch my carbs and lost 12 lbs in less than 3 months. I have never felt better in my life (even when I get no sleep) because of my changed lifestyle. I have tried the green tea pills, the crazy cleanses and only eating one meal a day. I am DONE with dieting and am so proud of myself that I came from processed, frozen and fast food to fresh, healthy foods. And for anyone who knows me that is HUGE bc I HATE to cook so I was always a microwave girl all the way.
Any other questions please ask! I am a pretty open, laid back person. I of course am super busy, but I would not have it any other way and will check in throughout the day!
