Quoting LillyBear:" We are always happy to have new people join this thread, so welcome! Would you like to share some history about your decision to make a lifestyle change?"
My mum passed away last year from a brain aneurysm. I started eating really badly, not exercising and drinking more than I should, it was a grief mechanism really. But, as a result I gained about 6 kg, which made me feel even worse about myself.
About 6 months ago I recognised a need for change but I really didn't know where to start. Then 3 months ago, I decided to do the 12WBT a 12 week challenge to start eating a healthy calorie controlled diet and exercise started by Michelle Bridges- one of the Biggest Loser trainers in Australia.
She advocates a lifestyle change not just a diet and since then, I've just embraced a healthier me. In the process, I've lost weight but it's just been one of the benefits of doing this.
Sorry for the lengthy dribble.
