I need your help I am a wreck right now I just found out I get denied for insurance cause me and dh "make to much" so now I don't know what to do dh was gonna put me on his insurance but that won't be until February ugh I don't know what to do any ideas??

Aw girls, I am so frustrated!! I went to the OB today (39 weeks 1 day) and my cervix is still long, closed, and posterior. She asked if I wanted a c-section. I really really don't. They are concerned because he is estimated to be big (they estimate 8 lbs 14 oz) and I had really bad fourth degree tearing with my last delivery. I'm just shocked and disappointed that they are already pushing the issue when I haven't even hit my due date! I am so frustrated that my body isn't doing what it is supposed to. I get that since I've made NO progress they assume I'm not going to progress soon, but they can't be sure, can they? The baby is fine, good heartrate, good fluid, past the NST and BPP easily. My weight gain is good and my BP is fine. I don't see why they can't give me some more time. I'm feeling pressured and so frustrated! She is having me come back in Thursday for another check, but really I'd need a miracle to progress in 2 days. I've already been trying to do more walking, bouncing on my birth ball and DH and I have been DTD. I'm ramping all that up, what else can I do? I hate spicy food and I am not comfortable doing castor oil. I've heard raspberry leaf tea can help? Anyone tried that? Can I buy it at a grocery store? Any other suggestions? I'm desperate!

I would flat out tell them you do not want a c-section unless you are past your due date.

Weight estimate could be wayyyy off. The were thinking Ludo was 6, maybe 7 lbs and he was 8 lbs 1 oz.

Yeah they said Tyler would be over 9 and he was 8 lbs 7 oz. I definitely plan to tell them I'm not agreeing to it until after my due date. They can see me again Tuesday as planned and we'll see. I'm not trying to be stubborn, but baby seems fine so I don't see the point. I know they are worried about the tearing, that it could cause me permanent damage, but the risk really isn't worth it to me.

I'd rather risk tearing then have surgery...so I understand your point.

Plus, they already planned to do a lateral episiotomy during this delivery. So what's the problem? I just don't get it! I'll ask more questions Thursday, I just couldn't even think straight today.

I commented in your thread but weight estimate is stupid lol in my opinions

they told me Mac would be 5 pounds because she was measuring way behind and small....she was 7 pounds 1 oz.

Keagan they said he would be 5 too and he was early and he was 6 pounds 10 oz

That's good they are planning to do that. If it helps, no harm in that!!

Yeah. Hopefully if I still haven't progressed I can stand up for myself and at least wait to discuss it more until next week after my darn due date!

If there is no harm being caused to you or baby then tell them you want to have a fair chance to try!

will they automatically do a section? Will they try to induce? Even like a foley bulb might help your body to get started! It seems better than jumping right to a major surgery.

She didn't mention induction at all, I'm not sure why. Maybe because of the tearing risk, since I tore during induction last time. But also they used the vacuum during the last delivery, I think that may have delivered his head too fast!
