THAT is freakin cold, lol. I couldn't start my bus this morning and ended up running like 15 minutes late, that could have been part of it, too - the whole bus thing. We had a 2 hour delay last Friday because of rain - but it had been raining for literally a week straight and half of our roads were flooded.

Oh, I would never teach anything younger than highschool. For the moment, I am working for our transportation department and I drive a school bus a lot of times and omg......the middle school age is just so bad. I LOVE my highschool kids and my elementary kids are decently behaved and really cute but I would be perfectly happy to not deal with other peoples kids in a teaching setting until they are at LEAST in highschool.

Oh my god, I thought I was in the twilight zone when I went to community college for a semester. I was 85% done with my bachelor's degree, but didn't want to sit doing nothing the semester I took off... so I took some classes at a community college.

I took a smurfing comedy film class in which we just watched funny movies the whole time and took multiple choice tests... I was the only person in my class who got above an 80% on the midterm. I was like.... really?   I didn't even watch two of these movies, people.

Maybe its just us michiganders then, lol. My mom's cousin and a girl I've known since elementary school are both Corinna, pronounced Ka-ree-nah.
I also know a Corinne, kah-rin

I get a little pissy with the people in my classes. One is full of younger people who are laughing and giggling the whole time.... seriously? Someone is paying for you to be here, gtfo if you're going to take away from the ones who want at least SOME kind of education.

The other class isn't too bad, it's mostly older folks, but several of them ask me the SAME questions EVERY class, when the teacher has explained them multiple times. Definitely works on my patience!

I was in one evening class that was AMAZING and mostly older folks, but all my day classes were dumbass 18-19 year olds whom I had very little in common with. And a former meth head stripper who sat in front of me and used to ask me questions all the time... at least she was funny and cracked jokes with me, though.

My SO complains about the same thing, lol. He is 31 years old and he made the mistake of taking an entry level Astronomy course as an elective this semester. He says it's full of "mouthy little smurfs" as he refers to them - spoiled kids who don't take it seriously.

Yeah, I think that's my problem. I'm the only parent in the first class, and I'm just going through these courses to get my AS and progress. Noone else seems to know what they want to do.

Aaand, the class start 8 am, and one of the days I usually end up working afterwards. I'm grumpy in general haha
