It's just my opinion   alot of people aren't well versed on names as we are.

Lol just something to think about. Another thing is people may think you got it from Grey's Anatomy. I'm not trying to deter you from using it at all. I wouldn't do that as I love Greek names (I have an Ariadne). Just some things to think about

Better than someone thinking I named my kids after Twilight!

Honestly I thought a lot of people would think we name DD, Delilah, after the bible, or the song or something but we only hear it every once in a while. Actually, most people pronounce and spell her name wrong   I have been really shocked by that one.

lol I hope I explained it well. It's like last names are rarely used within the Deaf community but in the hearing world that's how we differentiate each other. Name signs are like how they do it within the Deaf Community in day to day conversation.

omg, but they do. I have no idea how people can screw up that name! They call her Delia most of the time which drives me crazy because I can understand maybe missing the 2nd L, but Delia doesn't end in an H.

Then again with all the trendeigh nowadays I guess anything and everything can end in an H.

I'm flabbergasted. I can understand someone messing up Ariadne's name. But Delilah? No way

This is why I came in here and didn't just post a thread. I would get a lot of smurf for the K I'm sure. Thinking that I thought it looked better, when I don't necessarily, I just really like the name and that's the only way to use it.

It has happened an absurd amount of times.

I grew up with everyone screwing up my name, probly cause my mom spelt it wrong for the way it's pronounced. I figured I was giving my daughter a life without that annoyance. I was sooo wrong.
