So I was pretty set on using Elowen but now I've been thinking about using my grandmothers name, Marianne. Mary for short...Thoughts ladies? Too old, too boring?

If he is seriously set on that name, then I would just add Marianne to it or either maybe you can convince him to use it somewhere. My DH was set on Willow Caroline.
I named her Caroline Rosalie Willow...and he agreed.
There are so many variations you could use too. I love all of the names you have picked.
