I really like it, too - but I can just see SO nixing it because it has a Y int he middle.....he is so damn picky and random.

Yeah, I actually like the Y in this one for some reason and I HATE y's, lol. But no.....I don't see it happening. I am writing it down, though - he can look at it on my list and quietly cross it out. -_-

I think it would be between Noelle (ours) and Eleanora (his) or my middle name. Thoughts on knowingly naming your child a first name you won't use? You'd use their middle name instead. I usually hate it but it might be the only way to compromise. I hate my middle name; he loves it.

I named my daughter a first name but call her a shortened version of her middle name no big deal

I'd be such a hypocrite since I tell others it's stupid to do, but I'm thinking of doing it.   

I think we're going to use family names so the names for the girl will be random. She'll have a Hawaiian first or middle name and possibly an Italian middle name--Luciana (Lou for my mom and Ann for his; I didn't like any of the other options)--and possibly a Greek or French name.
