No, not at all. That's how the word is spelled so I think it's fine that way.

I understand the feeling! I was so happy when my first (adopted) was a boy. Having been a teenage girl the thought of having one horrified me to no end. Now I'll have two girls that are 20 months apart from each other which I am happy about...but talk to me again in about 13 years to see if that has changed LOL.

I think it'd fit with a fiery red head and would be a cute hippie inspired name, but I don't think I'd use it
