I'm with Nico on this one. Zelda really makes me think of the Stephen King character and it is not a pretty picture. Although funny enough, his granddaughter's name is Zelda as a tribute to the character int he book "Pet Sematary". Name itself aside, I think it's pretty odd that his kid named his daughter after a terrifying girl with spinal meningitis. You'd think he would have tried to find a nicer characer to honor his dad with...

Sorry, totally off topic but I found out something interesting yesterday at a family reunion of sorts and wanted to share. We named our daughter "Molly" just because we liked the name. We didn't use any family names because we didn't like them (Sue/Pamela/Marie/Sarah/Norma). My mom recently found out that her great-grandmother's name was "Sofia" (changed to "Sophia" when she emigrated to the US at 16 years old) so we will be using Sophia as a middle name for this baby in February. However, my paternal aunt informed me yesterday that my DAD'S great-grandmother's name was...MOLLY (he didn't even know that so that's why I didn't find out about it until 16 months after she was born). I was pretty floored! Both of our girls will have family names which makes me happy   Sorry for rambling, just thought it was pretty cool and surprising.

Oh man, too close, huh? I could have come up w/ a million middle names if you didn't include the part about them not ending in 'A'.

Oh man.

Yea... idk about the name Zelda now. I mean, I do like it. But it doesn't seem to go well w/ Rocco.

I like it though!! hm... lol. I'll have to look up more italian girl names & see if I find any others.

Yea I know, like 99% of the names I was looking at that are 4 syllables end in a   but if I pick a first name that doesn't end in 'a' I can throw that out the window

I don't think Alessia would be too bad if Alessandro is only his middle name. Most people probably wouldn't even notice the connection.

Here are some 4 syllable names that end in a   that I think fit your style:
Adriana
Amalia
Angelina
Arianna
Aurelia
Carolina
Eleonora
Evelina
Gabriella
Gisella
Maddalena
Mariella
Nicolina
Serafina

No. It's about time!

I loved The Decameron. The story of Griselda was so sad.

Hello!   I'm pregnant with my third child and we are trying to come up with names. For a girl, we've pretty much decided on Aria (the Italian sp) Marie. For a boy, we're going to use Richard (after my grandfather) but need another name to go with it. Richard can be either the first or middle but we need fresh ideas to go with it. Sadly, Joseph and Alan are both out bc DH doesn't want the baby named after him (dragging his feet on Joseph and outright nixed Alan bc it's his grandfather's name too, whom he didn't care for). Any ideas?

Richard Arthur would be nice.
Aria Evangeline sounds nice to me.

I may have more suggestions later
