How to prevent the ugly stretchmarks - tips

posted 8th Mar
I'd like to share this with all the mommies (got it from my favorite book - the Yummy Mummy's Survival Guide)

"Can I do anything to prevent these ugly marks?
Oils and Lotions. Whether these have any significant effect is still up for debate, but there are lots of lovely lotions, oils and creams which are definitely worth a try - and feel wonderful too.

* Mama Mio Superstretch Tummy Rub: This very stylish brand promises stretch mark-free tummies up and down the country.
* Pure Vitamin E oil mixed with wheatgerm oil.
* Jo malone's Vitamin E Gel: This is uded in her heavenly facials but clients started to report back on its fantastic stretch-mark-preventing potential.
* Clarins "Tonic" Body Treatment Oil: A legendary oil which tones, firms and moisturises.
* Clarins Bust Lotion and Bust Gel: Because you can't forget the marks which might appear here as well.
* This Works Stretch Mark Oil: It does, apparently.
* Vichy Conplete Action Anti-Stretch Mark Cream: Helps to prevent new ones, and reduce the appearance of existing ones.

Exercise. If you keep the exercise up, your skin should stay more toned and the risk of stretch marks might be reduced. Might, but even a 'might' is worth a few extra visits to the gym."

I am personally use the Clarins 'Tonic' Body Treatment Oil and love it so much. Anyway, girls, I hope this article might help.

After 3 pregnancies I have some horrible stretch marks...recently got some Bio-Oil and I have been using it for just over a week and can already notice a difference. It is supposed to prevent them during pregnancy too....wish it had been available sooner.

Honestly, there's no way to prevent stretch marks, if you're gunna get them, you're gunna get them.

That's exactly what I was going to say, although putting all that stuff on your belly while you're preggo with help them fade much fast after birth.

The thing that I found that works is monitoring your weight gain. I gain about a pound a week and have yet to get a single stretch mark.

I CONSTANTLY put stuff all over me, from my hips to thighs to my belly. Well.....I went through the whole first pregnancy without even one till I was 36 weeks and hubby broke the news that under my belly it looked like I got into a fight with a cat! They are all faded now and you only notice them in certain lights.
