I'm feeling movement!

posted 5th Mar
I'm 17 weeks and 4 days and am finally realizing the weird bubbly feelings is the baby moving! it's so exciting feel him/her hangin out in there!
But I've noticed that ever since I started to feel this, I've also been feeling a very sharp pain on my lower right side- almost on my side! sometimes it aleviates when I pee, but if I hold my pee in too long (like through the night) it hurts so much i can't walk! anyone know what this is?

that might be round ligament pain. it's common, and should go away. if it continues, ask your doc. isn't the movement the coolest feeling? just wait till the baby begins kicking!!!

Congrats on the movement

and the pain could be round ligament pain or a kidney infection...if it gets worse or transfers more to your back I would go to the dr. asap, but until then I think your ok.

i hope it goes away for good, because it really hurts alot sometimes, but then goes away gradually once I pee. That's why I thought it might have something to do with that. Congrats on your boy! We're finding out the sex next week!

I have a doc appt next week, if I could hold off until then I will just ask in person so i can show them where exactly it hurts. So many wierd things start to happen to our bodies!

Oh butcongrats on the moving! I love it. Wait until the kicks are hard & you can feel them, that's been my favorite part so far, even when they hurt!

but what exactly does round ligament pain feel like? because I've also been feeling sharp (pulling like) pain for about 4 weeks now on both sides, but that I figured was growing pains.
This other specific pain i am worried about is only on 1 side and closer to my waist....

god I wonder if that's gonna drive me nuts! lol...I hope I feel like you and love the kicks! do you also feel it while you sleep? does it wake you up? I'm a light sleeper! so far these little movements are so adorable! it's like a constant little reminder of who's in there!

its a repetative feeling. Its kinda like a kick only you can feel a pattern. kicks are spontaneous, hiccups happen over and over and over and they feel the exact same. Also hiccups kinda"bounce" the whole uterus. You'll know the difference!
