ok so i was wondering if any of you have the prbalem of having a flat pelvis bone?? my doctor never explained to me that he was going to induce me before my baby reached 6lbs... luckily i went into labor before that.. i ripped and pushed for an HOUR to get a lil 5lb 15oz baby out(my son is 8 months now)
i was wondering why he wouldnt have told me that was the reason.. my doc didnt deliever my son btw it was the on call doc which i absolutley love, he explained to me i would have a hard time ever delivering a bigger baby then 6 lbs, and if i were to ever have a 71/2 to 8lb baby i would have to have a csection... anyone else have this??
i was told that I have an especially "arched" pelvis and that I probably wouldn't be able to deliver a baby bigger than my son, who was 4 1/2 lbs @ delivery.. I pushed over an hour with him too! But lo and behold I was able to get my 7lb daughter out in less than 30 minutes so.. That's gonna be a wait and see kinda thang I guess
well he told me most women have a small arch to their pelvis but i didnt have any arch what so ever. i didnt know an over arched pelvis would cause problems too.. i was just curous bcuz im wanting to have another one in the next 3 years and i wanted to be prepared
my pelvis is triangle shaped. My kids heads wouldn't engage. After I was in labor for 38 hours w/ my first and only got to 4 1/2 cm they did a c-section. I also was born w/ a hip problem and had my hips wired together because they dislocate so that also played a big factor. Sucks
Quoting prego_princess0713:“ what is a tight pelvis?”
I don't really know. he said usually a woman's pelvis opens up during pregnancy but mine did not and will likely not during this pregnancy. it was too small to pass a baby i suppose.
i wonder if its the same thing as me.. because thats the jist of what he told me is that my pelvis wasnt big enough.. but i think mine has more to do with bone structure
