I'm right there with you. My 7 month old is waking up more now and it sucks. He slept through the night for 3 weeks when he was 2 months old and then he started waking up once a night. At 4 months he woke up 3 times a night, at 5 months only once a night and now he's back to waking up 2-3 times. I have a hard time falling back asleep, too, so I'm only getting like 5 hours of sleep at night. Thankfully my husband has finally come around to helping me out. He'll get up early with him and let me sleep until he has to get ready for work and if it's before midnight he'll get up with the baby.

We joke that his baby sister (due next month) will be sleeping through the night before he ever does!

That's the same way with me..My hubby will get up with him most of the time, and try to let me get some rest knowing that I have to tend to him all day the next day even though he has to go to work, but it's draining us both down.

So do I!! I'm so stressed out-my daughter is 7 months & doesn't sleep through the night or during the day! She's up 2,3 times a night & only sleeps 1-2 hours max during the day (in half hr segments) It's been like this since she was a newborn. I'm out of my mind!

It's normal mama. Google natural child project and click on the articles section and 'sleep' for some research based info.
Cognitive spurts, milestones, teething, developmental leaps, exposure to illness, change in routine, new foods etc all cause night waking. Sleeping through is not the biological norm, it's an imposed cultural thing. Can you sleep when she does? cosleep? Get a nap in the evening or weekend when someone else watches her? It does get easier. Our worst month was 15, after that it steadily improved and i was regularly getting 3-4 hours solid sleep between waking. Once they pass the vocab explosion (around 21 mo) most kids start sleeping through much much better. It gets easier as it gets less erratic. It will pass

I'm lucky if my 7 month old sleeps AT night. It takes me hours to get him to fall asleep. Like everyone else said waking up is normal at this age.
