Hi everyone! To start off, I'm Chris, and I'm making this thread as a place for me to keep track of my weight loss. I'm going to use it to post updates, pics, and weigh-in info. Anyone is free to read, comment, or join in (positive and supportive comments/replies ONLY. "Negative Nancys" and "Debbie Downers"
I just need a place I can come and keep track of things to stay motivated. I've tried other weight loss threads, but they always seem to die out and/or people give up and stop coming to the thread. I have a lot of weight to lose and I need to be serious about weight loss, so anyone else who is SUPER serious and ready to get rid of the weight, feel free to join me!
I'm Chris. I'm 24 (almost 25 yrs old), I'm married for 4.5 yrs, and I've had three kids in less than three years. I had my oldest son in April '08, my DD in Jan '09, and my youngest little guy in April '10. I had a thyroid condition that actually kept me from gaining weight during pregnancy, so believe it or not I weighed LESS after deliverying my third than I did when I got pregnant with my first. In Oct '10 I had thyroid surgery to remove a goiter which left me with a different thyroid problem (hypothyroidism) that causes me to GAIN weight and makes it harder for me to lose weight, but I'm on meds and I'm not going to let it stop me from getting healthy and being happy!
MY WEIGHT LOSS BLOG:
2001- 14 yrs old. Weight- 145lbs
2005- 18 yrs old. Weight- 225lbs
2005- First attempt at weight loss using Atkins. Weight- 175lbs -50lbs
2007-Got married, gained it all back. Weight-220lbs
2007- Was 218lbs when I got pregnant with my first
2007-2010 Pregnancy. Never got above 228lbs. Was 220lbs after my last.
2010-Second attempt at weight loss with low fat diet. Weight- 190lbs -30lbs
2011-Gained it all back after vacation. Weight- 221 lbs
Start Date: July 2011
Start Weight: 221 lbs
First Goal Weight: 150 lbs
Final Goal Weight: 130lbs
July 22- 221 lbs
July 29- 211 lbs, -10 lbs
Aug 5- 211 lbs, no change
Aug 12- 216 lbs, +5 lbs
(bad week diet wise...)
Aug 19- 210 lbs, -6 lbs
Back on track!
Sept 2- 205 lbs, -5 lbs
Sept 16- 203 lbs, -2 lbs
Sept 30- 198 lbs, -5 lbs
Oct 14- Next weigh in!
