Baby shower joy and DRAMA!

my baby shower was yesterday and it was really nice! i got a lot of great gifts- four bathtubs, a ton of gorgeous clothes and about 600 diapers, baby wipes. i was really happy but some people made some kind of inappropriate comments. one woman kept telling me what a waste my childbirth classes are until i nicely told her i was not interested in her negative opinions about her childbirth or anyone elses because everyones experience is different   that shut her up then some other idiot comes up to me and says "are you sure you are having a girl?" i said yes why? she says "well i hope it's a boy because you are carrying too nicely to be a girl. i hope you don't have any surprises when the baby is born." i just rolled my eyes and said "well being that she has a vagina and not a penis, i am pretty sure it's a girl" then people had their bad kids with them. it was semi chaotic but i still had a great time!

My shower is today!! I can't wait. Hopefully there won't be any drama, the only people I really know who make kind of snotty/stuck up comments (without realizing it, that's just how they are) are my stepmom and stepgrandma and I'm pretty much at the point where I just roll my eyes or say something smart ass in return. lol.

yeah it was exciting! i got so much stuff i am wondering if i should donate some of it but my husband said hell no! LMAO

I hope you have a great time at your shower! There won't be any drama but it's goodyou can say something smartass in return. I love it. Have fun and I am sure you will get great gifts but hopefully not four tubs. We have to return some of them this week.

Haha, I completely understand where you're coming from. My MIL brought her ANNOYING ass 13 y/o son to BOTH of my baby showers. He constantly was making rude comments and farting noises and spilling stuff everywhere. Since when did people start bringing kids to baby showers?!

how gross! one kid took the ladel from the punch bowl, drank out of it and then put it back and his parents thought it was funny. i think kids belong at home or at the babysitter not at showers.

well im bout to hve my shower and i dont want to invite the other grandma she is such a witch with me...but my mom is making me invite her and her daughter eww....im not even with him and i guess thats why they hate me....but im glad you got awsome presents...

It's like people have lost their manners and any consideration for others. It's ridiculous.

you know because of her dumb comment about maybe the baby is a boy i am already doubting the sonogram results? stupid of me but it has been on my mind like "what if it is a boy?" and they made a mistake but there is mistaking whether or not there was a penis. some people act as if ALL pregnant women carry the same exact way.
